Once again, an outdoorsy man is longingly staring at the Chugach Mountains from his office window. “The mountains are so beautiful today, I wish I was out there,” sighed the man as his gaze flitted from Near Point to Wolverine to O’Malley. “Right now I may be stuck in my cubicle, but you better believe that after work I am going to prance through the tundra like a baby mountain goat and gorge myself on alpine berries like a hungry brown bear. The only thing separating me from those mountains is a paycheck and this window.”
“I can name every peak that I can see from this vantage point,” added the man as placed his elbows on his desk, propped his chin up with his palms, and continued staring out the window. “I can almost visualize myself spinning in circles in a field of tussocks, a la Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. A soft breeze rustling my hair, the camera does a wide circle, truly a picture perfect moment. Aren’t these mountains just gorgeous today?”
At press time, another outdoorsy man in a windowless cubicle was settling for staring at maps.
